➢ How It Started

Chris's journey into the world of metal fabrication began with a simple project in his high school metal shop class. This modest beginning set the stage for what would become a thriving business.

➢ 1992-1993

In 1992, Chris and his family relocated to Texas. It was here that Chris launched a mobile business servicing gaskets for local restaurants. By 1993, the business was growing, leading Chris to hire a helper and add another truck to his fleet.

➢ 1994

An Olive Garden restaurant needed a full service company that could also build them a stainless steel shelf. When Chris asked a local fab shop to build it, they told him it would take 30 days. He couldn’t wait that long to get the job done and provide for his family.

➢ 1995

Chris opened his first shop, purchasing his first shear and press brake, along with a third service truck and hiring a second helper.

➢ 1998

By 1998, Chris's business, now with three service trucks, was regularly servicing restaurants like Bennigan’s, Steak & Ale, and Outback Steakhouse. As restaurant managers moved to new locations in Houston and Austin, they wanted to continue working with Seal Tex, leading Chris and his team to make weekend trips to these cities.

➢ 2000 - 2004

In 2000, Seal Tex officially expanded by opening branches in Houston and Austin. Four years later, Chris’s son Alex started working with him, balancing his school hours with work. This same year, the Oklahoma branch was established.

➢ 2005

By 2005, the word was spreading about Seal Tex’s capabilities. Chefs began requesting custom stainless steel items for their homes. Initially hesitant, Chris eventually agreed to build a stainless steel countertop for a client. This opened up a new market for Seal Tex, offering custom, restaurant-grade home solutions.
